The above does not need a paragraph but below is a new patch on the Test Servers

The update brings the first weapon skins to PUBG, which were among the promised additions first teased in the 2018 roadmap. The new weapon skins also come with a change to the UI, and you’ll be able to equip them under the customisation menu.

Patch Notes:

Lobby

  • KR/JP joint server is now separated into KR server and JP server
  • Leaderboard for both KR Server and JP server are added
  • KR/JP players will be able to see and play on the server for their respective regions
  • Those who can see neither KR sever, nor JP server, can only play in KR/JP server if they team up with a player who can see KR/JP server

Weapon skin system

  • Players can select skins for each weapon
  • Each weapon category is arranged in alphabetical order
  • Weapons can be categorised as: acquired: arranged in chronological order of acquisition, equipped: arranged in chronological order of last time equipped, tier: arranged according to skin tier (descending order)
  • You can check details about the equipped skin using VIEW MORE button
  • You can use weapons section in customisation menu to equip the skin of your choice
  • ou can acquire weapon skins either through paid crate Triumph crate, which is a weekly random crate or Raider crate, which is a free non-random crate

New crate drop rates

  • New free/paid weapon skin crates are added
  • We will be providing 100,000 BP, 20x Weapon Cosmetic keys, 20x Early Bird keys, 10x Triumph Crates to all test accounts to test the stability of the system
  • New paid crate Triumph is a weekly random crate, and the drop rate is 20%

Triumph Crate can be unlocked using Weapon Cosmetic Key, which can be purchased through Steam market
There are 2 rare bonus sets that can also be an acquired alongside single skins

Bug fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the refresh button on the friends list would take you to the team tab when players are in a team
  • Fixed an issue where when players leave the vehicle and the vehicle is positioned right next to the window of a building, players would go into the building through the window when getting out off the vehicle
  • Fixed an issue where during server instability, when exiting a slow moving vehicle, the players would be treated as if they were hit by their own vehicle

A new patch is now available for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. Following a round of server maintenance, developer PUBG Corp. has deployed Update #8 for the PC version, adding new weapon customization options and a few other features to the popular battle royale game.

I prefer playing Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds on my phone to playing it on my computer. The control scheme works well and it feels better optimized on my phone than it does on PC. The early rounds might be full of bots, but there’s real players in there too and it’s fun to duel with them while we both rapidly pound on our phones’ touchscreens.

You can sign up to access Codename: Savage’s test server here. PUBG Corp. says this is a smaller test, and you’ll need a copy of the base game already to play. The developer also says it plans to run bigger tests in the future, once it’s “gotten the map into a better state.”

A new patch is on the way to PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. This marks the ninth major update the game has received since it left Early Access on PC last December, and it introduces a new spectator mode and a few bug fixes.

Patch 10 is now live on PC, and it features the biggest ever change to the game’s pace. The blue zone, the damaging electrical field that forces players into a smaller and smaller circle every couple of minutes, will now start off much earlier each time.

Patch Notes

General gameplay

  • Blue zone delay time has been reduced. You’ll be given less time to linger between phases.
  • The maximum movement speed of the blue zone has been reduced. The blue zone will move more slowly toward the end of the game.
  • The damage inflicted by 7th, 8th, and 9th blue zones has been increased.
  • Except for the first blue zone, the probability of creating an extreme safe zone (one far away from the center of the previous circle) has been reduced by 30%.
  • The final blue zone will narrow down to the center instead of narrowing down to a random spot, and the total wait time including the blue zone inactive time has been reduced. (195 seconds to 90 seconds)
  • As the end of the match approaches, the safe zone will increasingly favor areas with land over areas with water.
  • On Erangel specifically, the first safe zone will now be revealed 30 seconds earlier.
  • On Miramar specifically, players can now see the first safe zone while flying in the airplane. (We may or may not carry this over to the next live update. We want your feedback about this change.)
  • In-game clothing spawns have been removed from all maps. Other item spawn balance remains the same.

World

  • The Oasis can now be found in the north, and Alcantara village has been added to the northwest.
  • We’ve added more roads, off-road paths, and car spawning positions to facilitate easy travel into and out of the area.
  • Higher-tier loot is now more likely to spawn in specific areas of the north of Miramar.
  • We’ve optimized the GPU performance of buildings seen from mid-range (all maps).

UI/UX

  • You can now send requests for invitations by clicking the invite button on another player’s career screen.
  • If you are a team leader, you can now kick your team members.
  • You can also kick any team member using “Team” tab in the friends list, found at the bottom right corner of the screen.

Bug fixes

  • Footsteps should now always make sound when walking on tarp, carpet
  • Fixed an issue causing some objects to become invisible at particular distances
  • Indoor plants should no longer block bullets
  • Fixed and removed some weirdly-placed road signs, plants, and stairs
  • Fixed an issue that broke the killer spectating function whenever the killer died too quickly after taking out the spectating player
  • Fixed an issue that sometimes caused players to take no damage when exiting a moving vehicle

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds developer Bluehole added the team deathmatch-style War Mode to custom games this week, and it plans to roll the mode out to all players as a time-limited event at some point at the future.

War Mode is back. This time around you’ll enlist in one of 10 five-man squads and battle it out on Miramar. As before, you’ll respawn in a plane after every death. The first team to get 200 points wins.

WAR MODE RULES
All players are grouped up in teams of five. Each game will have a maximum of 50 players (up to ten full teams).
Immediately after the plane gets into the air, the safe zone is visible on the map.
The safe zone is small—but slightly larger than the previous iteration of War Mode—and never closes in or changes location throughout the duration of the game.
Getting kills and knocks (when your opponent is “down but not out”) earns points for your team. The first team to get 200 points wins.
Kill: +3 points
Knocks: +1 point
Own Team Kill / Own Team Knock: -5 points
If no team reaches 200 points before the 15-minute time limit, the team with the highest score will be declared the winner.
Each time you’re killed, you’ll respawn in planes that fly by every 40 seconds.
LOADOUTS, LOOT, AND CARE PACKAGES

This time around, players spawn with top-tier equipment that’s normally found only in care packages. This includes:
One random care package weapon (AWM, M24, Mk14, M249, Groza, or AUG)
A level three vest
A level three helmet
Two grenades

OTHER EVENT RULES

Weather is locked at sunset.
Bleedout damage when knocked is increased.
Reviving knocked teammates takes only two seconds.
You can invite up to four players from your friends list to your party before
jumping into game. Any remaining open team slots will be filled by the auto-
matching system.
Care package drops are disabled.
Killer spectating is disabled.
Redzone is disabled.

So new map is still in testing and should drop in June. There have been a couple of updates namely for attachments and then now optimization. Throwables have been reworked. There will be an inhouse build anti cheat system coming as well. Now to shamelessly promote my channel…

Oh wow that’s dropped massively! Has the game still got performance issues, major bugs etc?

Obviously cause it’s new and free but H1Z1 BR on PS4 has hit over 7M players during its open Beta. Be interesting to see what the numbers would be for a PUBG PS4 release. Hmm.

how is H1Z1 BR different from H1Z1 KotH? KotH is the mode PlayerUnknown licensed them to make that he used the money from the start development on PUBG, so curious to see how that turns out.
